Commission for the Museum of Textile Haslach: a lasered mirror shingle installation for the "Wäsche" and a four-video presentation at the "Wasserschloss".
Life seen through the eyes of a weaver: literally (through the hole punch cards) and figuratively. what is important to the day to day existence of a weaver's life? how much information does the eye need to recognise and recreate an image? how many edges - threads, stitches, meshes..?
The ancient artificial brook, engineered for the weaving industry, shaped the layout of the town then and now and is put in the spotlight for a few weeks. It's human energy and fluidity symbolised in 4550 lasered pieces. Heterotopias in the mirrors: past, present and future united: Craft then and now, from the mechanical to the digital.
